Cappuccino Frosting
- 2 teaspoons (10 grams) boiling water
- 1 teaspoon (2 grams) coffee powder
- ½ cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups (240 grams) confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30 grams) heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon (4 grams) vanilla extract
- In a small bowl, stir together 2 teaspoons (10 grams) boiling water and coffee powder until dissolved. Let cool.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat butter and confectioners’ sugar at medium speed until fluffy, 3 to 4 minutes, stopping to scrape sides of bowl. Add coffee mixture, cream, and vanilla, beating until smooth and aerated, about 3 minutes. Use immediately.
