Our very own Editor-in-Chief Brian Hart Hoffman sat down with Amanda and Jeremiah to talk about the beginnings of his passion for baking, how he fell in love with the art and created Bake from Scratch magazine.

After winning the second season of The Great American Baking Show, Amanda decided to start a home-based cake catering business in Atlanta. Amanda often features her inspired cake decorating designs on her eye-candy Instagram account (@amandaefaber) and offers new recipes on her blog, including the a well-spiced version of Chai layer cake complete with Pistachio Orange Buttercream Frosting. Jeremiah, who starred on the 2016 season of The Great American Baking Show, is currently writing a cookbook focused on Portuguese Desserts, referencing his rich Portuguese heritage. Jeremiah spends most of his time testing his future cookbook recipes in Sacramento. Next on the list, a proper homage to the Portuguese Custard Tart!
