Holiday Baking with Julie + Jesse

But the two tend to balance each other out in the kitchen. Julie takes no shame in taking a shortcut now and then, but Jesse likes to follow a recipe to a T. “I’ve always wanted to go to culinary school, and never had the chance,” Jesse says. “That’s why it’s great having Julie around because she’ll actually teach me how to properly dice an onion. I kind of force her to take the long way sometimes, but she’s also showed me shortcuts are fine on occasion, too. So, we’ve come to a happy medium.”

After several months of casually cooking together, Julie and Jesse decided to create a food and lifestyle blog called “Julie & Jesse” to share a behind-the-scenes look at their relationship with food and each other. It features a selection of innovative recipes that reflect both Jesse’s and Julie’s backgrounds and cooking styles.
