Description
A special mould with a design of sponge finger columns going around, features its makers mark “JONES BROS DOWN ST”. Well known ironmongers and personally one of my favorites. Also marked with the letter “H” in a Georgian font and a beautifully detailed crown. These sorts of moulds were used to make gelatin desserts, blancmange or cakes to adorn a lavish feast table. They were popular during the victorian era 1837-1901. C.1850
