CALLING ALL BAKERS, CHEFS, HOME BAKERS & COOKS!!!!!!!!! @bakersagainstracism is a call to action: to fight and stand up against the unjust treatment of BLACK people in the United States. We are armed to fight racism with the tools we know how to utilize, our FOOD. JOIN forces with us virtually on all social media platforms launching pre-sales on June 15th and pickups on the 20th to stand up to injustice. We are asking for national participation! You only have to donate 150pcs of a dessert to sell, and then donate the majority of the proceeds to a charity that supports black lives. Your small contribution can create BIG and lasting change. Bake from Scratch is proud to be teaming up with Bakers Against Racism for a virtual bake sale powered by professional and home bakers all over the world. This week, get engaged with this sweet movement to combat racism. Organized by Paola Velez, a James Beard Award-nominated pastry chef, pastry chef Willa Pelini, and chef Rob Rubba, hundreds of bake sales are currently open for orders (including some from our very own Bake from Scratch team members), culminating in a grand finale on Saturday, June 20.

Show your support by ordering baked goods from one of the bake sales happening near you. Available for delivery and/or pickup, each cookie, cake, and pastry sold will make a difference toward affecting global change. Proceeds from participating bakers will go to various charities, all benefitting causes that work to combat racial injustice and Black Lives Matter. Check the @bakersagainstracism account for lists of participants and to locate a bake sale happening near you!

ZoëBakes Live Zoom Cake Decorating Class for #bakersagainstracism!! 100% proceeds go to NAACP (more on that below). As part of @bakersagainstracism, I will host a Live Zoom Cake Decorating class to benefit the @naacp. Join me live for a semi-private class or purchase the recorded version to help support the cause. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE FOR THE 30 spots in LIVE ZOOM CLASS – Info, sign up and recipes LINK in @zoebakes BIO!!! . . PLEASE HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD! ♥️🙌🏽 . Thank you to my village for helping me put this class together. Patrica from @centerforpl (also my step mom♥️) will host the zoom, @stephanibloomquist helped me with every aspect of planning and will be our moderator 🙌🏼 and my husband @graham.francois will be my cameraman😘! . . Racism is an issue that I've thought a lot about. I am part of a mixed-race family and the things I've seen and heard directed at the people I love most just shouldn't happen to anyone, ever! Systematic racism is real and no matter the socioeconomics of a person, POC are treated differently. We should all have the same rights, the same freedoms, the same ability to walk down the street without fear or anxiety. The same access to protection from police, access to education, health care, healthy food, clean air, and safe drinking water. Those things are not afforded to all people in equal measure and that is not right or just and needs to change. I have decided to donate the money we raise together to the NAACP, which works to advance all of these issues for POC. For my children and all children of color, we need these changes and we need them NOW! So, thank you for donating and I am looking forward to creating this cake and a whole bunch of change with you. #blacklivesmatter #bakersagainstracism #naacp #gohigh #changeisgood #bakeamericagreatagain
