  1. 2½ ounces Highlands Eggnog (recipe follows)
  2. 1½ ounces bourbon
  3. Garnish: fresh grated nutmeg
  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add Highlands Eggnog and bourbon. Shake to combine, and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with nutmeg, if desired.

Highlands Eggnog
Makes about 7 cups

  1. 6 large very fresh farm eggs
  2. 1 cup (210 grams) sugar
  3. 3 cups whole milk
  4. 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  5. Garnish: fresh grated nutmeg
  1. Carefully separate egg yolks from whites; refrigerate egg whites.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together yolks and sugar until smooth. Slowly whisk in milk and cream. Set aside.
  3. In another medium bowl, whisk egg whites until two-thirds of mixture is frothy. Stir frothy mixture into yolk mixture. Discard remaining one-third egg whites mixture.
  4. Garnish with nutmeg, if desired. Store sealed in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Shake jar before mixing cocktails.
