These tulip-style parchment paper cups are as stylish as they are handy. Whether you’re out of paper liners and happen to have some parchment paper on hand or you’re just looking for the perfect bakery-style liner for delicious homemade muffins, these liners are a cinch to make. We’ve put together a step-by-step tutorial, which can also be found in our May/June 2020 issue, to show you how to create your own.

Cut 2 (18×12-inch) sheets of parchment paper into 12 (6-inch) squares (6 squares per sheet of parchment paper).

Fold each square in half vertically; unfold, and fold in half horizontally. (In the end, each square should be folded into quarters.)

Place the center of 1 square over the top of a 6-ounce can or cup with a 2-inch diameter. Make sure to run your hands along the side and over the parchment to create deep folds.

Run your finger around the rim of the can or cup bottom to mold the sides of the parchment into a round shape.

Remove the parchment, and place in a cup of your muffin pan. Repeat with remaining squares. Carefully spoon your batter into muffin cups lined with parchment paper liners.
